The Ecology, People, Place Research Group brings together scholars in the humanities, social sciences and natural sciences at the University of Western Australia who share an interest in the many-faceted relationships between societies and environments, past, present and future. ‘Environmental’ problems are invariably human problems, so effective responses require knowledge of their social and cultural dimensions. The Ecology, People, Place research group provides a UWA-based hub for expertise and collaboration on problems and issues at the intersection of society and environment.
